Anni Muhlegg, BSW, MA (Counselling Psych), RSW (She, her) Anni is a bilingual (in French and English) trauma and addiction recovery therapist based in Castlegar, BC, with over 20 years of experience walking alongside individuals and communities in healing. A resilient survivor of developmental trauma and cancer, she understands healing not as a destination, but as a living, evolving journey - one that can deepen purpose, vitality, and connection to self, others, and all our relations. She specializes in Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG), supporting individuals and groups in recovering from PTSD while rediscovering meaning, aliveness, and inner wisdom. Anni is a perennial embodiment of mystic, artist, horsewoman, wife, mother, singer and weaver of beauty. As a midwife of the heart and spirit, she invites each person to explore their own sense of belonging and purpose and to explore their capacity to live in alignment with their spirit and values. Anni reveres the rhythms of the natural world and lives in deep gratitude for her devotion to love and beauty, and her work is inspired by 20 years of Earth-based teachings, ceremony, and Indigenous Ways of healing, which inform her reverent, relational, and holistic approach to care. Anni is grateful to be part of a diverse group of heart-centered practitioners at OK Clinical Therapy Group in Castlegar, BC, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and she also offers sessions through her private practice on Wednesdays, Fridays, and occasionally Saturdays.
Grounded in interpersonal neurobiology and attachment-based psychodynamic psychotherapy, Anni offers a space to meet each person with respect and compassionate curiosity. She loves to co-create a sanctuary that honours emotional self- and co-regulation, personal and collective sovereignty, and authentic connections. She views the counselling journey much like tending a garden — requiring patience, nourishment, and attunement to the seasons of growth and rest. Like deep Tree roots, Anni’s practices of mindfulness, relationship tending, and communion with the natural world nourish and inspire her practice and Life. She lives in the mountains near Castlegar and Nelson, BC, with her life partner of 27 years and their beloved family.
