As a breast cancer survivor this cause is close to my heart. I'm stoked to have just entered this chance to represent the National 2024 representative and contribute towards Breast Cancer Foundation. Fab Over 40 is our National Breast Cancer Foundation’s biggest supporters and has raised over $19 million to support their mission. Recognized as one of the leading breast cancer organizations worldwide. I'm over 55 and excited to have been shortlisted into the Fab over 40 contest!!! Fingers crossed! May the most grateful win!!

I acknowledge that I greatfully live and work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Sinixt (Lakes), Syilx (Okanagan), Ktunaxa, and Secwépemc (Shuswap) Peoples. I also honour the Métis families who call this region home.
I acknowledge the deep history, wisdom, and enduring presence of the Indigenous Peoples of this land, as well as their ongoing resilience, cultural revitalization, and leadership in healing, community care, and environmental stewardship. I recognize that these Nations continue to maintain strong relationships with this land despite the impacts of colonization, displacement, and attempts to suppress their identities, languages, and ways of knowing.
As an ally, I am committed to engaging in ongoing learning, self-reflection, and responsibility. This includes supporting Indigenous sovereignty, uplifting Indigenous voices, and participating in decolonizing practices within myself, my community, and my work. I understand that allyship is not a title but a continuous practice rooted in humility, reciprocity, and action. With gratitude, I honour the original caretakers of this land and the vibrant resurgence of their cultures and communities today.
