The Potency of Samhain – A Season of Remembering and Release As the season turns toward Samhain, I feel the deep potency in the air — a threshold time when the veil between worlds grows thin and the presence of those who came before us feels close. These days often bring both stillness and stirring — an awareness of endings, beginnings, and the quiet in-between. Lately, I’ve been noticing a pull to slow down, to listen more carefully — to my dreams, to the land, to what moves beneath the surface. My body asks for warmth and gentleness: nourishing soups, herbal teas, extra sleep when possible, and patience when rest doesn’t come easily. I find comfort in remembering that tending to myself is a way of honouring life itself. This season carries its own rhythm of remembering and releasing. I find myself breathing into what has been held too long, allowing it to soften and fall away — as the trees do. There’s a beauty in witnessing the natural order of things, in trusting that what is ready to leave makes space for what wants to grow next. In these darker days, I try to give kind attention to the world around me — the soil, the trees, the wind, and the quiet patience of the land. It reminds me that we belong to a larger cycle of change and renewal, and that even in letting go, there is connection. May we move gently through this turning of the year, breathing, remembering, and letting go — together. With gratitude, Anni
