I’m honoured to walk alongside each person's healing journey. Whether seeking support for trauma recovery, relationship repair, or simply a deeper connection with self and the living world, each client is invited to begin exactly where they are. Our sessions take place in a confidential, compassionate, and grounded space that supports nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and authentic connection. Together, we move at the pace that feels right for you — with curiosity, gentleness, and respect for your innate capacity to heal.
Informed Consent as a Process Before we begin our work together, I take time to ensure that you have a clear understanding of what therapy involves and what to expect in our sessions. My informed consent process is collaborative and transparent — we’ll review confidentiality, boundaries, potential risks and benefits, and your rights as a client. You are always encouraged to ask questions, express your needs, and make choices that feel right for you. This process reflects my trauma-responsive approach, which honours autonomy, consent, and the pace that best supports your healing and sense of safety.
The Health Benefits of Integrative Counselling Integrative counselling supports healing across the emotional, physical, mental, energetic, relational and spiritual dimensions of our life. By drawing from a range of approaches — including somatic awareness, expressive arts, relational work, and principles of interpersonal neurobiology — this process supports reconnection between body, mind, and spirit. Clients often report:
reduced stress and anxiety
improved emotional regulation
increased clarity and self-understanding
greater resilience and flexibility in their nervous system
healthier, more connected relationships
a deeper sense of vitality, presence, and inner peace.
Over time, integrative counselling can gently restore balance, strengthen self-trust, and support a more authentic experience of yourself, your relationships and Life.
"When I was going through some difficult times in my life, Anni offered me what I needed - whether I knew it or not: shelter, safety, beauty, non-judgement, deep listening, beautiful vistas, compassionate heart, the space to be until the cloud lifted and I was able to process what I needed to."
A key advantage of integrative counselling is its flexibility and focus on the whole of an individual. The integration of approaches means that counselling is tailored to meet a variety of needs and concerns. It can be particularly beneficial for those who want to shift negative patterns of behaviour, thinking or feeling caused by anxieties, fears, phobias or any other mental health issue that is greatly impacting life satisfaction (i.e. addictions, depression, past and current trauma, bereavement and low self-esteem).
Risks
Therapy is an opportunity to explore lost parts of oneself which can feel vulnerable and raw bringing to the surface or felt in the body old patterns of thoughts and feelings. Also, counseling requires one's commitment towards truth, sometimes challenging old walls and personality adaptations. As necessary as this is, it requires courage, time and a healthy dose of focus, courage and commitment.
Benefits
The benefits include exploring personal growth, expanded personal awareness on better understanding what is at the root of symptoms and dis-ease. Expanded skillfulness in navigating stress and change, increased patience and compassion for self and others and an overall increased capacity and sense of aliveness and purpose for Life.
The thread of the therapeutic connection and exploration is held by what people can name they want for themselves such as a sense of aliveness, internal acceptance, increased capacity for self-love, authenticity and an overall sense of aliveness and deep personal meaning.
